Case Study: Vacant Property Security Solutions

Challenges: This was a heavily damaged site with inadequate protection. It not only needed the right security installing on site, but removal of waste and remedial works carried out on the property.
Solution: Despite some initial resistance from the client, we used our vacant property security expertise to ensure that this site was cleared, and all damage repaired. We then moved on to install security deterrents preventing further incidents.
The Task
- The client initially reached out to ARM Secure to arrange regular vacant property inspections of the site due to ongoing intruder issues.
- After visiting the site, it became clear that the site needed further security measures putting in place to mitigate against public liability risks and offer the protection required to prevent further issues.
- There was some initial hesitation from the client but a further breach on site created more damage with burst water pipes adding to the mounting problems.
The Solution
We immediately deployed a fully accredited manned guard to be positioned on site. This provided a deterrent to any potential intruders and a rapid response to any unwanted activity.
At the same time repairs were made to the damaged water pipes stopping the leak. Through our network of nationwide of approved contractors, we were able to addresses this issue quickly and
efficiently.
Once repairs had been completed, we looked to swap out the manned guard for our ARM Secure Technology products helping reduce cost whilst still giving the same level of protection.
We installed an ARM CCTV Tower in the sites car park ensuring that the main entrance to the property was protected and monitored for intruder activity.
We also installed two ARM RaPID video verification units to cover, and provide a highly visual deterrent, across the whole premises.
All three units were linked to our NSI Gold Cat II Alarm and Video Receiving Centre to provide the customer with real-time reaction to any threats on site.
Our final action on site was to perform a clean and clear. Removing all combustible, flammable and hazardous waste from site, helping reduce the risk of any arson or criminal damage to the property.
